On my 6th birthday, my dad asked me what I wanted for my 7th birthday. I told him I wanted to go to Disney World. And he made it happen. This is me on his shoulders watching a parade at the Magic Kingdom in 1985. We were only able to go a few times when I was young but he loved when we visited, and he sparked a love of Disney in me. Now he is in the last stages of Parkinson’s Disease, and he cannot even hold himself up. This picture is so bittersweet. I will forever be grateful to him for making my birthday wish come true. -Heather J.
